Variation on "Hurry Up" dress...actually a jumper ("contraption" pic added)

So along the lines of this dress...

This isn't actually a flannel shirt, just heavy cotton with a pretty loose weave.


Instead of using the whole sleeve and gathering it for the bodice, I just used half and kept it flat:


I liked it this way but then got obsessed (in the middle of the night, as usual) with getting some blue onto it...don't ask me why, but I like it


The ruffle on the bottom is attached and the way I made it go up the front, I think, truly qualifies as a contraption! I probably should have just made a separate skirt. Oh well.
