I was browsing through craftster when I realised that I make so much stuff that I don't post.

here are two recent bags for swaps.
The receiver for the first one said that she loved lime green, so I made her this simple tote, long handles as I think all shoppers/totes need to be carried on the shoulders otherwise they are just not comfortable.

I adore the fabric, it was a left over from a dress I made, it is a vintage fabric, printed all over with ferns and flowers, I found it in a thrift shop, To keep with the theme I used a vintage dark green lining. I put the pocket between the handles on the front to keep it neat, the pocket is stiffened, and the winged heart appliqued on. The whole bag is padded to give it substance and it has some more pockets inside, The photo is a little overexposed, the fabric is a bit darker than this

this is another swap, Again the recipient liked purple and dragonflies, it is a standard, jordy bag shape, again the purple damask fabric is vintage, I embroidered/beaded and appliqued the dragonflies (two small ones on the other side) I used an iridescent fabric for the wings so they do change colour slightly, The inside of the bag has pockets, but the colour is completely off for the lining, its a darkish green with a damask type paisley pattern, I kinda went to town on the embellisment of this bag, the gauzy ribbon around the top, has tiny little snowflakes sewn inside, they are also iridescent and are free to move within the channel created by the ribbon, The fabrics were all either damask or ones with a sheen, like satin.

the swap was for one item, but I threw in a few more little things.

so what do you think?
