I read the same blog! The one with the craaazy prices to buy these things ready made?  Shocked Shocked So I made a bunch of them for Christmas presents. Can't post pix now as I am at work & while you can get into darn near anything else online...they have blocked photobucket. Go figger. (groan)

sblzmd;

The last time I was in a Salvation Army Shop I saw a few bangles. And now that I think of it - there was a second hand clothes shop I was in that I actually picked up a bangle and then couldn't think of anything to do with it.
I just can't remember where that shop was.

Happy knitting,
Janey

Great idea!  I wonder if there's something else you can use for the inside, as I don't have any bangles lying around here, but I'd love to try this.  I'm gonna see what I can come up with.

Jane2- I'm going to try a couple of second hand shops. I have been looking for some bangles in party supply stores with no luck. Thanks for the suggestion!
