Also, an experiment in outfit coordination.

I was going for a sort of combination of punk and classic styles with this outfit. I need to work on waistband sewing more. All my waistbands look a little weird. The skirt is the only thing I sewed in this outfit. Gathered waist with elastic, and black venise lace trim. (I love you, CheepTrims!)

And the second outfit. Velveteen overskirt, black ruffled underskirt, and black blouse with "pearl" snaps. Skirts were done without a pattern, the blouse was a Simplicity pattern.

If I ever try to sew with velveteen ever again, I would like someone to slap me in the face, please.

Wow, your stuff all looks really great! The ruffled skirt is very ambitious.

Also, I LOVE your red booties! Most fabulous thing I've seen today! And, while I'm digressing, your hair is cute too. You're just completely adorable is what I guess I'm getting at.

Yea I know, everytime I see Mana in a velveteen outfit, I'm like, "Oh my god, I love velveteen!" But yea, I HATE sewing it.

These are totally not my style but I absolutely love what you've done with them and you look so darling wearing them. I love your flouncy skirts, striped socks and those shoes are adorable!
