Project I recently completed for school. First project I've gotten all possible points on:

High waisted skirt with yoke and pleat. The fabric is an old bed sheet I found at goodwill that doesn't wrinkle, ever.

I surely am a sucker for a high waisted skirt. I love the print of that. It's like...vintage. Good job.

I love it! It looks so "I am a shy and orderly member of some Amish group and will never go out without covering all my body up in some nice and neat sewn ankle-length vintage skirt I made out of fabric I printed myself with natural colors I got by plucking some flowers in the huge forest next to our village!"

(I know I am weird.)

(and sorry, I hope I didn't spoil it for you by saying that. It's plain awesome, believe me. Smiley )

It's definitely kind of conservative, but it's still around knee length, so it's not that bad. Right now I'm at a stage in school where they don't give us that much freedom, so mini skirts are out. I think I'll pair it with some opaque tights a t-shirt to dress it down a little.

I love it!  I'm not so fond of "hip hugger" things; I've been scarred on a near-daily basis by trashy girls who insisted upon wearing little-bitty-worthless-seethrough-doesn't-cover-anything underoos, or nothing at all, beneath their ultra low rise jeans, and I'm thankful for having finally escaped that torture.
HENNYWAY.  Very pretty skirt, lovely fabric.

Oh, it's just kittens.

I want to leave this world the way I came into it:  naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood.

It's wonderful, I would totally wear that! Did you make it high-waisted because you like that or did it just turn out that way? It would look really good with a polo shirt!
