I grabbed the pillows that my neighbor was throwing away.

But since I don't like bumpy fabric and the colors were a little to dark and busy for our livingroom, I borrowed a sewing machine. Now the last time I used a sewing machine was over 10 years ago, so I'm a little rusty, they came out pretty good. To cover the pillows I used old curtains that the cats had clawed holes in and some fabric scraps to cover the holes. The pictures make them look teal, but they are actually green.

This post cracked me up because I have those exact same pillows, and have always thought they were totally hideous.  I always flip them around so only the brown side shows.  They came with the couch I got from Big Lots - and for some reason, two out of the four big cushions for the back of the couch have that pattern too, ugh!  So they stay flipped too.

Nice save!  I like the green color.
