The gift was delivered and I'm told prompted an impromptu line dance.  YEY!

Where can you find the insulating stuff?  Insulbrite?  And how is it to sew?  Would it work on an insulated lunch box?

I bought it at my local large fabric store where they sell it in packages and by-the-yard.  It's often found in the same area as the interfacing and stabilizers.  It sews more easily than it cuts, trying to cut a double thickness is challenging.  The non-silver side and the batting are cotton, so it's linty, but more when cutting than with sewing.  It would probably help insulate a lunch box, but not like a mini-ice chest or anything because it doesn't have a lot of air pockets like Styrofoam or poly foam.
