I made this little darling for the OTT 17 swap. She was created without a pattern, using Sugar 'n Cream cotton. She loves her flower pin, but will allow her new mommy to borrow it, as long as she returns it.

(using a picture that my partner took, because it's better)

Thanks for looking!

Okay, pattern by request! This isn't going to be perfect, because doxiemommy has Leelu, and she lives the entire way across the country from me! And of course, I didn't write anything down, so this is entirely by memory.

materials
sugar 'n cream cotton
h hook
polyfil
tapestry needle
stitch marker

all done in rounds, do not join. mark first stitch of each row, first ch counts as 1 st

ch 2
round 1 - 4 sc in 2nd st from hook
round 2 - 2 sc in each st around (10 sc)
round 3 - *1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st* around (15 sc)
round 4 - *1 sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st* around (20 sc)
round 5 - *1 sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st* around (25 sc)
round 6 - *1 sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st* around (30 sc)
round 7-12? - sc around (30 sc)
(I think I did that many, it was really just, do a round, look and see if I liked that length)
round 13 - *1 sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog* around (25 sc)
round 14 - *1 sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog* around (20 sc)
round 15 - *1 sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog* around (15 sc)
position eyes (if using safety eyes), then stuff to your heart's desire
round 16 - *1 sc in next st, sc2tog* around (10 sc)
round 17 - *sc2tog* around (5 sc)
sl st around last 5 st, so it's like a drawstring, pull tight

legs - make 8
ch 18
3 sc in 3rd ch from hook
*3 sc in next hook*
rep from * until two sc left
sl st in next 2 sc
fasten off, leaving a long hook for sewing on to body
sew onto body where desired, working opposite, so that your legs are evenly spaced, like this -
             1
         5       7
     3               4
         8       4
             2

If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll see if I can answer!

This is really cute! Is there any chance you'll post a pattern or tutorial for it later? I can tell the body is a basic amigurumi ball shape, but I'm curious about how you make the spiral legs and attach them.

Looks great!

Sure! I'll get it up in a few days, when I have time to write it up.
The basics for the legs -
ch 18
3 sc in 3rd ch from hook
*3 sc in next hook*
rep from * until two sc left
sl st in next 2 sc
fasten off, leaving a long hook for sewing on to body
