Smiley This is one of my favorite things I've ever made. I love it because it's fancy enough for a party but casual still, because it's made of tee-shirt fabric! That's right, it might not look like it, but it's an XXL black t-shirt from Michael's Craft Store, with various lace and ribbon that we had lying around the house and fun buttons! First off, I made a tube dress with a zipper down the back out of the t-shirt fabric, simple for the most part because I just copied one I already had. Then I just put strips of lace alognside a strip of ribbon down the front (it was annoying to sew them in the right place, under one another, but I figured it out eventually) and then I put a lace bow at the tops and approximated where the buttons should go, and VOILA!

I hope that it gives off a tuxedo-like feel, I love the menswear-inspired look and have for quite some time now, it just became big though!

I apologize for my atrocious room! Yikes!

Yeah, I'm aware of my closet's messiness...STILL needs a cleaning! Wink

This was just a fun view!

Sorry that I didn't really have any close-ups of the details, well I kinda did...hope you can see everything okay!

It's really nice Cheesy
It's very different from most reconstructions which is pretty interesting.
It's not really my style but I really like how classy you made it look.
Nice work!

Very sweet! Might be a bit difficult to launder, though. It's difficult to sew lace to stretchy fabric, you did a great job making it lay flat.

Yeah, it's made out of an XXL black tee. I LOVE using the ones from craftstores for dresses, it's so easy! Smiley

The lace was a little tricky, but more because it was hard to sew it in the right place, one of top of the other so that it'd look okay in the end, if you know what I mean. Yeah, the different lace on the bottom curves in a little in the middle because of the stretchy fabric, even after ironing. Ah well!
