Thanks everybody! And no, I haven't gotten around to making my own pair yet Sad But I do still have my origami shoes. I wanna try embroidery on  some old chucks next.

Those are so incredible!  How did you get the comics so flat and not wrinkly?  They're amazing- I hope you made yourself your own kick ass pair.

At first I used a sponge to apply the mod podge. But just like with the origami ones I did, I seemed to get the best results by just spreading it on with my hands. It was much more messy, but it was easier to smooth everything down. Also, I did it one piece at a time. So I was able to cut at whatever angles the shoe had.

Wow those are awesome. How have they lasted over the years? I'd love to make a pair like that, but I'd be worried about the paper cracking or peeling off. Is the mod podge flexible?

oh the awesomeness!!! ack ack ack!!! okay. i have questions. what is this fancy 'poly spray' of which you speak? how many coats did you use? does the chick who scored these awesome kicks get good use of them, or does she fear stepping outside in 'em? i can't wait to start coating shoes with paper. oh wow.

NICE JOB!!
