I made this for a personal swap and it turned out to be one of my favorites!! Smiley  It cast a really neat blue/green hue on the wall.

Made from strands of Mardi Gras beads and loose clear beads as filler.

No overhead light...

oh my!  that is GORGEOUS!  i think that's my favourite melted bead thing yet!  all of your stuff is so nice, but i love the colors and the way the strands look, its so perfect!  i never even thought of using strands of beads.  i may have to try it.  (plus my oven already stinks like plastic right now, darned bead got on the bottom...yuch.)

How in the world do you do that?  I know how to make record bowls but can't quite wrap my head around how to do this.  I have a ton of mardi gras beads and would like to try this

Aw!!  Thank ya so much!!

Ooooh... a bead in the bottom - yikes!  Stranded beads work surprisingly well!  I used strands of Valentine's beads for this one last year http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=110217.msg1298041;topicseen#msg1298041

Thanks! *blush*  Sometimes I think hubby wishes I had never tried because now I'm always looking at stuff and pondering how it will look when it melts. Cheesy

Oooh...sorrys.  I'm gonna see if I can find you a lamp for it!  I got some from Freecycle the year before last, but I've always hated the plain white shades.
