Crafting is in my blood! Just not in my geneology.

So I made my mom a poppet to take with her to chemo...It's made from a very washed sweatshirt of her mothers(my grandmother).  The fabric was a knit, but not too stretchy.  The body is 75%, the tail i s100%, and the arms are 90%(they wouldn't turn in size 75%)  I just got the eyes from  sweets4ever today and i ran around the house doing this, "I got eyes" sing song(middle-eastern accent, mind you) dance.  I'm probably gonna put hair on her.  Eventually.  I really like it, personally.  Oh yeah!  This is my first poppet, too!  The pics dont show the color very well...its more like a mauve-pink color.

BELLY BUTTON!

Kinda reminds me of Mew from pokemon....or is it Mewtoo?

EDIT:  I've since been told it's Mew...and her eyes really aren't that uneven...its just my bad photography.

(To The Tune of "The Llama Song")Here's a needle, there's a needle, and some yarn between the needles, cast on, knit, purl, always knitting, knitty, knitty, purl.

Hey it does remind me of one of those pokemon. There's a Mew and a Mewtoo. x)

Anyway, it looks great! I bet your mom loves it! Hey, is there a tutorial where I can find how to make one of these? I find them ADORABLE. =) Great job on it! ^^

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=205341.2760;topicseen This is the Poppet A Long.

You have to e mail gillie for the pattern(all the detail are on page one of the craft a long).
If, more specifically, you want a Mew, then just use pink and forget the hair!

She needs some cool hats to wear. And your mom too. Tell Your mom good luck. Great job crafting your first poppet. I did the same song and dance when my eyes got here from Sweets too! Mine was an American accent, and the dance was to keep them away from my 3 year old, who is still trying to find them! Argh!
