Here's what I stitched for KittyKill.  It's from the Sublime Stitching Stitch-It Kit.  I don't know why exactly, but I spent ages searching for a motif for KittyKill.  She's got lots of pretty ladies on her towel and I don't know.. I felt inspired to do something different.  I looked and looked online, but then I went right to my embroidery transfer drawer and did this one.  I think it's been stitched several times for our Tours, but I checked and I don't think KittyKill has it yet.

I am unable to do tattoo style lettering free hand, so mine looks like an elementary schoolteacher's.  We can't help what we are, can we?

I totally missed this! I'm sorry! I love this pattern so much! It's perfect for me and the lettering is awesome. I've been so out of it with the flu. You did a great job. I received Gatsbygirl's pillowcase. Yesterday between fever and passing out I did some stitching.

Also, GatsbyGirl-where did you get that case? I love it.

Feel better soon, kittykill!
Wow, we're on page 90 of this gallery already!

Spice Girls Tea Towel time!
This one was especially challenging for me because I'm very bad at drawing people. But I really wanted to keep with the Spice Girls theme Smiley Kitten Wrangler on the needlework swap mentioned that embroidery is like "painting with a needle and thread" and I love that because like here, I started with just an ok sketch, and after layers of thread and stitches and tweaking the design as I stitched along, something nice comes out of it Smiley Sorry I should stop talking  Tongue

An here she is... for our very special T3 swap organizer Rectangel... Saffron...

I couldn't find the right color of saffron so I used every orange/yellow/red-ish colors I have. She holds the flower that saffron comes from, and every flower has three stigmas which is the saffron. Saffron is probably the world's most expensive spice by weight because it has to be hand picked at the right time and 150 flowers need to be picked for 1 gram of saffron.

Random detail shots Smiley

(Please disregard the purple lines that haven't disappeared yet! And I have to say, lips are probably the hardest thing I have every attempted to stitch!)

And here's the entire tea towel...

I can't make it to the post office before it closes today, so I'll send it off tomorrow.

No way! I love your garlic salt! I wanted to do something like that because I can't do faces at all. I cheated and stitched the eyes closed  Tongue

Rita! I love her and all the details about saffron.  You did a great job with the face - I really can't imagine it any better and the jewelry is super cool.  Your drawing is amazing Wink

Sewsew - it is really just spices and people's take on them and garlic salt like the spice is always welcome addition -I'm anxious to see all your french knotwork - I've never filled in a large space with french knots but I've been thinking about it ever since I saw Susie's sheep on her blog a while back hmm still two more towels you never know Wink
