These are great. My new DIL's birthday was yesterday, and I made these for her. I dusted them with just a tiny bit of a beautiful translucent glitter I bought in Germany sometime in the later 80s. She was thrilled, and I felt like such a genius.

The glitter is such a great idea! I never thought of that.... I have some spray glitter lying around, I might try that on my next pair!

Extrapolate that!

Thank you very much for the pattern. These earrings are fabulous. Such a great idea. I made one pair yesterday from a ping glittery floss. I'll try to post a picture later.

So cute!!! If you like things like this I have a pattern for snowflake earrings. They are cute and can be adjusted for different sizes....

I've only recently picked up crochet so I don't know a lot about hooks, but isn't a size 10 a big hook, like the equivalent to a J?  This looks way too delicate for a bigger hook.  I really want to try to make these...can you advise on hook size?
