Made a magic wand today following the instructions using rolled paper, hot glue, and paint from dadcando.com

This was loads of fun and very simple to do - so of course I tarted it up a bit

The wand -

But mine has a diamond tip to focus the energy -  and its heart is gold (well,  electroplate gold at least)

So glad I could help --- nothin' like a 6 year old with a hot glue gun Smiley
It really could not be simpler and you end up with a result you can really be proud of.

That want is too cute and the site is awesome. Thanks so much for sharing! I doubt I can get my DH to do crafts with my daughter when she is older, but maybe we'll convert them to "mom-do" projects instead.

I love this idea! Now I don't have to learn to carve wood to have a wand. How long is your wand? Is it very sturdy or do you have to be somewhat careful with it. It looks awesome!

It is a rolled piece of 8 1/2 X 11 paper and ended up about 11 inches long.  I tried filling in most of the body with hot glue because I like the extra weight but wasn't totally successful in filling in the entire middle.  I think if I had taken a bit more care and time, I probably could have.  As of right now, this one could be crushed in the middle but the ends are very solid and would take quite a beating.
