I have a bunch of old curtain rings the old owner left in the house.  I put them to use making these little "ornaments", or whatever you want to call them.  Cheesy
This one I covered the ring with a piece of fabric (the design is printed on the fabric, I didn't make it myself  Wink):

and these are with the ring on top of the fabric:

I stitched the little pig, but otherwise I used fabrics with motifs already embroidered on.  My rings have an inner diameter of 2".  I posted the details of how I made these in my blog.

What a great idea!  The first one is my favorite.  Where did you get that fabric?

Thanks!  I get a lot of remnants and samples from a family member's home textile business.
This particular fabric is called "Samurai" from the Travellers Tales Collection by Andrew Martin.  Wish I had gotten a bigger piece of it, because it's a cool fabric.

What a great idea.  I have access to a huge box of these things and I didn't know what I wanted to do with them.  Huh Maybe mini broches?  THank you so much for the inspiration!!!  I love the ones with the rings on the material with the embroidery. Kiss
