This dress looks so cute on her, but if I tried to wear something like that, I would surely look pregnant.  (And since I have four kids, people would not be shy of asking!) Shocked

To me, it looks like a trapeze dress with a bib-front and placket running down the front.  The closest I could find in my three minutes of searching for examples is sort of a cross betwee this: http://www.bluefly.com/pages/products/detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=2083104885&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2056685923&cm_mmc=ca_nextag-_-na-_-dresses-_-2131492&referer=ca_nextag
and this:
http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2960902?cm_cat=datafeed&cm_pla=dresses:women:dress&cm_ite=maggy_london_border_trapeze_dress:210833&cm_ven=nextag&mr:referralID=ad3d6b80-0efb-11dd-a5f1-000423bb4e95

but obviously, the Kiera one is made of a lighter weight fabric, so it moves better, and has a placket running down the front for the button closure.  It does not look to me as though it has any definition between the bodice and skirt of the dress - I think it's all one piece from top to bottom.  So the pattern from Burda probably won't mimc the shape of the Kiera dress very well.

Hope i was a little helpful

I posted my version here.  It's been changed a bit, I've taken the placket out and haven't added sleeves, but here it is.

I believe this a workshop denim (a New Zealand designer) dress. (if its not then this one is freakishly similar) i have a postcard of it in red but i cant post it (newbie).
this is the best picture i could find

If you dont feel like making it anymore, you could buy something similar from target for $5.

I saw this post awhile ago and immediately got fabric and a pattern. Mine's a little different, but has the same idea. And I added a belt so it's not so shapeless.
