I made picture frames from empty Valentine's Day candy boxes.



It's a nice way to reuse your heart shaped candy boxes instead of throwing them out.



All you have to do is glue the top and bottom of the box together and cut an easel in the back to help stand it up.



Here is a close up of the easel construction, which I think is the most complicated part.

After I made one for work I had it on my desk and everyone loved it so I made a few more for my coworkers.

what an adorable picture frame!!  I'm so happy that you posted this because I've always felt guilty throwing away the pretty boxes, but this year I think i'll try to make this!

I'm not sure which is cuter - the frame or the "happy couple"! This is a great idea! You could make all sorts of shadow box constructions this way as well.

Yup. That is my pug, Oscar and cat, Stewie. They are the patient models for a lot of my work.
