I would have to really think about this. I don't know that I'm that hip on Shakespeare to do it. Plus, you know, the whole money issue... for I have no job at the moment.

I guess... it is intimidating.  There are what, 38 plays?  I didn't really think about how much I know about Shakespeare.  I'm all in because I'm a total Macbeth fangirl...

Well, I've read half a dozen, I've seen maybe 10-12, but I figure either I'll be matched with someone with similar interests, ie histories and tragedies (but please! Spare me from Romeo and Juliet!!) or else, it will just come down to my having to read/watch 2-3 ones I haven't seen.  Either way, I'm excited.  It's the sort of research I expect I'll enjoy.  Wink

I mean, I've read four of his plays (Othello, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, A Midsummer's Night Dream), am re-reading Othello this semester and have seen MacBeth and others on stage.. but it would be really intimidating methinks if I were paired with someone who is a complete shakespeare fanatic and has read a whole lot.

But, then the prospect of maybe getting some kind of Scotland, PA loot is intriguing as well.  Grin

Not to spoil anything, but everyone who has signed up so far has had similar faves. There has been nothing that obscure of choices of Shakespeare's plays. So I think if you signed up you would be okay, having read what you have!

I forgot all about Scotland, PA-great movie!

For those unsure because they fear they lack enough knowledge, don't worry.  Swaps are supposed to be fun.

I for one would enjoy your interpretation on Shakespeare.  And as long as you crafted something to the best of your abilities, I would be thrilled.  If for some reason you are only familiar with a few works (or perhaps just one) use that for inspiration.

Take the opportunity to explore a little more about Shakespeare, and again have fun!

I hope all those with doubts would join; I believe your products would be amazing!

In high school, I wrote a script for Hamlet called "Hamlet in ten minutes or less." It was hilarious, especially since we had like four people performing all the parts..
