I'm with you - the yellow/yellow combo is really nice. The other ribbons are just trying too hard lol.

Your blanket turned out gorgeous! Did you use the same yarn and hook size as the pattern suggests? I like yours better than the picture in the pattern so I'm hoping you used something different and would be willing to divulge...

My best friend is having a baby in June and this would be such a nice shower gift for her. Thank you so much for sharing!

Thanks for the compliment!  I highly recommend the pattern, it's very simply and lovely.  I did change it up a bit.  I used Knitpicks superwash wool and a 7.0mm hook.  I also increased the length of the base chain because so many people who have followed the pattern commented on how small it turned out.

1st is best--so classic and calm. that sums up baby things in general.

I vote green.

I don't really like the yellow as I think it blends in to the blanket too much, IMHO.

I actually like how the green ribbon puffs out a bit (plus the sweet contrast others have mentioned), but yellow polka dot works well too. Smiley Lovely blanket.

I vote for 1. Yellow Polka Dot which is so classic and lovely and really complements the crochet!
