This is a fabulous idea. And you can give it to anyone you love. My mom loves to play cards and this would make a great Mother's day present for her.

I thought of some further options:
  • use partial card decks if you have one that isn't complete.
  • Give a card a day, already punched, so that they can be added to the 'book'. Slip them into lunches, inside a cell phone case, anywhere the recipient will find it.
  • Shop for a deck of cards with interesting back, one that relates to an interest of the recipient; sailboats, Elvis, etc
  • Use specialty cards; like getting a set of cards printed with your photos, or the deck of heart-shaped cards,

This is such a great idea. Oddly enough, I was digging through the card decks at a thrift store a couple weeks back to get cards for Artist Trading Cards. I found a deck that was all pink, and had hearts as a back pattern. I bought it, figuring that it was breast cancer awareness and figured I'd save it for the cards I make this October, but they are absolutely PERFECT for your project. Thanks for sharing this cool idea!

This is a really good idea, even to hold affirmations for oneself and carry with them while away from home or to have beside your bed/chair and pick up to read/look at when feeling down or blue.  And for the cover, you could use Card Stock paper that is thick like a Greeting Card which would equal the thickness of cards or the famous Foam paper that is now available...it comes in various shapes, numbers, alphabet styles and is often found at dollar stores.  Great idea.

I love that you used two rings instead of just one. Very sweet gift!
