I just finished Kelly's Lace Bolero http://kellymaher.wordpress.com/2007/07/04/ribbed-lace-bolero/, and I'm very happy with it! It didn't take too long, an hour or two of  knitting here and there, maybe a week.  I've never owned anything like this, and I'm thrilled that the weather here in Orange County is warm this weekend so I can wear it out!  Grin  Thanks, Kelly, for such a great pattern!

About three years ago, I was following a knitter's blog and online store. I bought one of her very unique hats, and thought "I wish I knew how to knit!"  One day, my Mom and I were at Michael's and I grabbed one of those "I taught myself how to knit" kits. That day, I was knitting. Don't be timid about learning something new, and you'll never regret it. Go for it!

perhaps i shall try that then.

I can crochet, and I think that's what makes knitting so intimidating to me.  Silly, I know.

See, I'm totally useless when it comes to crochet. I should try again one of these days though. Too many cute crochet patterns out there. Crochet is hard too!
