so every year for the daddy daughter dance i let my DD design her own dress,  She is 8 this year.  And well, we kinda forgot about it until the last minute.  So She picked her favorite of her designs and off to Target to try and find something to reconstruct (it was 9pm the night before! ack)
I happened upon a shirt to use and a shirt for Daddy too!   They received a lot of complements!

Awww her drawing is sooo cute! I love that she designs it and you sew it up for her -- you should make a scrapbook or something with her drawings and the final product  Grin

okokok, #1) dady/daughter dances are like the cutest things ever!  what a lucky lady & what a lucky dad!!

#2) that dress is so adorable!  i think i wanna make one in an adult size to wear with some leggin's now!

Awww, this is so sweet! I'm curious how you made the midriff piece? It looks like it would be easy but right now my brain isn't working.  Tongue My dd will be 5 soon and starting school and this is such a good idea.
