Hello Everyone!

There is an afghan pattern that my grandmother has used my entire life. She has made countless afghans for me and my family, and it's her signature crocheted piece.

Then this little windstorm came through...called Hurricane Katrina.

The pattern is mutilated almost beyond recognition, and my grandmother and I have been trying to find someone with the pattern for almost two years now.

The pattern is called Spanish Lace Afghan. It looks like a very lacey chevron.

Can ANYONE help me? I would greatly appreciate any insight on this matter.

Thanks in advance!
Shannon

Do you have any pictures of afghan made with that pattern? It may help to recognize the pattern or reconstruct it by photo.

I don't have any pictures of the ones that my grandmother made at the moment  Sad. Unfortunately, they are waiting in my parents' garage to be restored. I DO have a picture, however, of another afghan that a friend of my grandmother's made. It is EXTREMELY similar, but it's not identical. The Spanish Lace pattern is lacier than this, which is more of just a chevron.

Here is the afghan:

This is a picture of what's left of the pattern. I know it looks salvagable, but that's the first page of about five pages, and the rest are completely stuck together. Pulling them apart makes the words come off. Also, large parts are completely missing because the paper fell apart.

What I DO know is that this was sold in a kit. It says that at the top of the pattern. Does that help?

Thanks again,
Shannon

Its sold in a kit and is the ripple but a bit more lacy.
Is that it?
