So how hard is it to find something decent to put on your door for Valentine's Day? All I wanted was a simple heart, but there were none to be had. Were the Valentine's decorations for sale this year particularly bad or did I just not hit the right shops? I don't know, but I finally gave up and made my own, which turned out to be a scorched metal heart with vinyl 'barbed wire' wrapping around it. Given the mood I was in, I suppose we should all just be glad there was no trail of blood dripping down from it. Oh well, there's always next year. I live in suburbia, so this looks nice enough from the street  but will probably make the postman laugh when he comes to the porch.

I LIKE it!  And your mail carrier will probably get a kick out of it - probably the least-bland door he/she wil see this Valentine's!
