I made BEST OF 2007 for my frozen bird nest pic!

My little zombie dog is 3 lbs big and 14 yrs old.  She is always, always cold.  My dad and I went shopping in my grandparents' tiny town for a dog sweater but all we could find was this really ugly one from Walmart for $16.

So, my dad asked if I could make one. I thought that was a great idea since I never thought about it before.

I followed a pattern I found on some site but ripped it out several times as I went along b/c the armholes didn't match up or the chest area wasn't covered, so I just sort of winged it.  I made two!  Cheesy  This is my first wearable crochet! ha..well, my dog's first wearable crochet.

The pics of her standing up are on my cell phone, but the collar flips down and I crocheted a little milkbone for flare  Roll Eyes

I haven't seen her in this one yet.  My dad said it fits her great though.  I made it a little longer.

This rocks! I don't know where that button is, but if I did I would click it. My parents each have a miniature pincher and they are tiny and always cold. Also my sister has a miniature dachshund and all three little dogs are always FREEZING! THese are sooo cute, I would love to make each one of them a sweater, extralong for the weenie dog tho! Aww, thanks guys!

Quills- I can find the pattern somewhere online if you want to give it a go. It takes about 2 hrs or less to make it and it's easy, easy, easy! The most complicated part was cutting the yarn and weaving in the ends a few times Smiley

Thanks guys  Cheesy   I was very proud of the first sweater (w/the bone) that I made.  I couldn't get over how freakin' ridiculously cute it is on her! And...she loves it.  I tried to take it off after I finished it so I could wash and soften it, but she growled at me.  Apparently, when I kept putting it on her it was like a tease every time.  It's a great way to stash bust, too.  I'm going to have a designer dog. heee

thank you Smiley  i call her zombie dog cuz she's old and looks zombie-ish, but she is THE sweetest little dog ever (and so very well behaved).
