hey, Im not too sure about it, but she certainly doesnt look tied into it and beaten to make her smile!
And I say let her wear it!
My son spent most of his childhood with painted on wounds, cuts and fangs, ( I used to face paint but he liked to have his stomach painted with his guts hanging out..............it takes all sorts  Grin)
I have a great pic of him riding to school dressed like a vampire, complete with white face and fangs,  and wearing a cape of course.
Oh happy memories,
You always give me something to smile about,
thanks vegbee

I definitely had a Little House dress...and bonnet?! I think. Anyway, I think you're headed in the right direction at this point, but I say it's pretty awesome and she should wear it threadbare! Too cute.

Ive been thinking, maybe you should make a bonnet
and a crook, with flowers and ribbons on it,
and get her a toy sheep to carry around

I think she is adorable in that outfit. Reminds me of the 1970's style.

yah!  And then people'll think the look is intentional.  Ah, if you can't laugh at your children, then who can you laugh at anyway?

I love that you make your daughter wonderful dresses to wear all the time, and respect the amount of commitment and time it must take. I also really just appreciate this post. I laughed so hard my fianc thought I was having hysterics.
and I adore this dress... but I also adore Caddie Woodlawn.
