Hate to sound like I'm trying to run the show... but it's just a suggestion.

Should we ask what the last book was that the person finished?

That way they don't get an item from say... A breath of snow and ashes when they have only read Dragonfly in amber.

Just a suggestion, feel free to throw rotten fruit if you want. Tongue

That is an excellent suggestion, I will add it to the questionnaire right now.  This is my first time organizing a swap so if you see anything that I could do better please let me know.  I want to make this the best it can be for anyone who signs up  Grin

My brain is a dearth of crafty activities for these books - I'm waiting to see if inspiration strikes...

Thank you for running with this one...

I'm on the fence with this one... I usually craft best when inspiration strikes...
What are some of the ideas you've come up with...

Some of the ideas I don't plan on using - a crocheted tam-o-shanter, a tote with either a thistle stencil/theme or strawberries (for Fraiser), thistle stitch markers, and one that I hadn't quite thought out all the way was votive candle holders w/"jewels" aranged in some kind of geometric pattern based on Gellis Duncan's (sp?) obsession w/gems.  I'm planning on starting one of the books this week so I'm sure I'll come up with some more ideas if you want  Grin

I was having a hard time coming up with one of my objects but now I have a great idea.  I was talking to a friend at work and she showed me a pic and said I want to make one of these.  And I thought "ooh if I change it to this color and do this it will be perfect!"  Woo hoo  Cheesy

Just a quick prgress update - I've got ideas and some supplies.  I think one of my small ideas is perfect for selkie.  I went to bookstores with 2 different people this weekend and tried to talk them into buying the outlander books.  No such luck, but it will happen.  It's no fun being an addict if your friends can't support your addiction  Grin

I just realized that I need to send out within the next TWO WEEKS - where has my brain gotten to?

I know... My husband just got home from his year-long tour on the last Aleutian Island...

Here's to getting busy crafting next week - I have it figured out, just haven't put it together yet...

If everyone thinks they may need more time for this swap please let me know.  I'd rather extend the send out date than stress you out.  After all there's only 3 of us I think I can be flexible  Wink

I might need a bit of an extension if everyone else is wanting one.  My fiance has surgury coming up soon and I need to take off this Wed to see him. (he lives in another province)  I'm hoping I'll be back by the 28th to mail out, this weekend has been major crafting and trying to finish all the odd jobs around the house.

I would appreciate it - my husband is on vacation for another 2 weeks - we're spending A LOT of time together to make up for the last year he was gone...
Maybe the first/second week of April?

I received - if you took pictures, feel free to post'em - I'm heading out on Wed and won't be back until late Sun/early Mon...

I LOVE the towel - if you would like to do the rest, I certainly wouldn't object!!!! Wink
The shawl is on the back of my favorite reading spot, and my son has been trying to abscond with my fleur-de-lis's ever since it got here! The only tragedy was that one of the snakes broke off his earring post - I'll put them on my mantle - or I might even do a little shrine with him!

Thank you - I love it!!!
