I would like to make a Campaign Quilt to mark this momentous year in the democratic party.  In the past women made these quilt from campaign ribbons and printed handkerchiefs but campaigns are not exactly handing those out these days.  So I would like to figure out how to print fabric with my laser printer (black and white only) or find a place online (preferably etsy or somewhere similar) that will print fabric with photos or sayings that I want.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, political debate would not be.  Wink

I don't know of any printable fabric that would take kindly to laser printing - the heat needed to print that way would not be good.

I'm sure there's someone kind on here with an inkjet that might be able to aid in your quest.

I love bubble Jet Set 2000. http://www.cjenkinscompany.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=bubblejetset2000&Click=3174  You can also buy pre-treated fabrics that are attached to freezer paper.
This site hat lots of projects and fabric printing info.. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/acCategory?lc=en&cc=us&extcat=quilting. You should be able to make your project as facy or simple as you like!!!Hope these are helpful

That would be great but I no longer have an ink jet.  I didn't think I would need it and got a laser this last time.  Sad

Hey, sorry about the unhelpful reply. I just googled  Laser Printing On Fabric  and this one came up first and looks very helpful!...

I didn't open any others, but there were a few other helpful looking sites!

If you have a local freecycle group, you might be able to get one for free.  There are often inkjets on my group, but it is a very active one.

You could also try iron-on paper- it leaves a bit of a border around your print if you don't cut close enough. Just make sure that you buy paper specially made for a laser printer, and for your brand printer.
