Hi everyone!
For so long I have been wanting to clean up our bedroom and simplify it. It was so cluttered and tiny after we introduced a queen bed in there a while ago....It shrunk the room down a lot and it became very messy very fast!
I decided that I needed to give it an overhaul. I wanted to be more organised this year (I swear I say this every year!) and have a nice haven to relax in at the end of the day. Since we had a 'feature wall' painted green I decided to go with a garden theme. I love gardening so it made sense.
Here is a horrific before pic:

This is looking from one corner to another, the bed took up the rest of the room!
We had a horrible set of bedside drawers I was desperate to get rid of. They were only accumulating more junk!
And here is the after...

Taken from the doorway looking in. Much roomier with the curtains snipped and pulled.

Cute little smelly weights to hold down the blind thingys (dont know the technical term). They used to always blow in the wind and get tangled so bad you couldn't open or close them.

My man now has his own side of the bed! No climbing over me when he gets home at 4am from work! YAY!
Funky side tables I made from plastic pots. The top is the only bit glued so we can reuse them if we want.

My side of the bed (of course i get the laundry basket!). I found I can hang my fave bags on the handle so I'm ready to get up and go. Oh and my fave thrift store buy a cute lime green Ikea lamp I got for $3. So funky cool. And of course you can see the fabulous bag I got in the recent skull swap. Cheesy

There were a few more things I had planned to do (make a leafy vine to tangle around bed frame) but since we are now getting married this year I have a lot of other things to do!
Anyway that's enough rambling for me!
Hope you like my green room!

YaY for you! Cleaning out a room can be a pain, my hubby and I are sharing a room at his parent's house right now, so we have like maybe 3 feet of walking space in here.

I love your idea for night stands! So cute, and they look like they match the green paint. What do the smelly weight things smell like? lol

Thanks Cheesy
I forgot to add that they fit with the theme and smell like roses......Yummy cause the breeze blows the scent in.

Congrats on the house! I dream of owning a house within the next year or two-renting sucks.
Thank you so much for the wonderful comments....Anythin g is possible for craftsters like us!
I too feel the pain of having a terribly tiny bathroom-when you sit on the toilet your knees scrape the door!
Not very nice! But I am slowly working on it too, If I can't make it any bigger, I can at least make it look bigger!
Awesome. I love canopies. Smiley
I have had a canopy obsession since I was a child! I think it might have something to do with the whole princess thing, or maybe just cause they look so pretty! I finally got this dream bed for my birthday last year for a bargain on ebay.
