She sent me a zipper pouch with the cutest owl fabric.  I loved it the moment I saw it.  When I opened the pouch I found she had included a bundle of fabric inside that had some of that same fabric in it!

That owl fabric IS cute...I almost bought some TODAY!  nice gift!

Prepare to smile with ALL YOUR TEETH SHOWING!  I received my cute little faces on Friday afternoon (my apologies to summertimerolls for being too far from the internet to post on Friday)!  Once you see these, you are going to want your own.  Summertime embedded little magnets on the backs of these faces -- a MARVELOUS idea!  She sent them in a tootsie roll's mini lunch box.  I am using the lunch box to display the "face of the day."  I am an assistant principal in a middle school.  Today I was:

The file cabinet in the background has the rest of the faces!

I especially like Mr. Snottynose:

I wish I could post a shot of every single face!  They are all GREAT!

Here's the one I'm going to display when I'm feeling particularly dangerous:

What middle school kid would mess with that?  What do you mean "All of them?"  ARGHHHHHHHH!  Wink

Thank you, summertimerolls!  You rock!

I received from nofury/shizen over the weekend, but my computer at home is on the fritz and left my camera connector at home so I can't upload pics from work. Will post if I can get my cranky PC at home to be nice for 10 minutes tonight.

Oh and I have another package waiting for me at home, but the husband has not told me who it's from yet Wink

How do row counters work?  I mean I get that they count rows, but I can't figure out by looking at those how they work and I'm very interested.  They are so pretty also.

thanks! if there is a pattern in your work, the row counters help you remember which row of the pattern you are working. at the beginning of every row, you put the approriate marker.

How do row counters work?  I mean I get that they count rows, but I can't figure out by looking at those how they work and I'm very interested.  They are so pretty also.

These are 6 separate chains of rings, the purple beads are the end of the chains.   If you need to count 5 rows, you get the 5-ring chain and when you knit round 1, you put the first ring on the needle. When you finish the row, and you're at the chain again, you move it from one needle to the other putting the SECOND ring on the needle. Keep going until you're at the purple bead and you're at row 5.

(I hope that makes sense, I haven't finished my morning coffee yet!  Cheesy)
