Not sure if this I work/home/uni, but I've just got to that stage with my current job, even though I won't be finishing there until at least Dec.  The fact that I know I won't be there forever means I can tolerate it so much more!  I hope you're moving onto much better things

just left - I completely agree. I'm turning in my notice at my job a week from today, and it feels great! I can't go back there again this summer, I need something different. Preferably something with kids, so that it'll look better on an elementary education resume. Unlike working at Sears.

lost in a good book - If you like fantasy, I'd recommend the Temaraire series by Naomi Novak. There's four books out so far, and they're good. Or, Poison Study and Magic Study by Maria V. Snyder. If you like a mix of fantasy/romance, There's The Wolf, The Sword, and The Master by Jean Johnson that are good. The fourth one's coming out sometime soon, I think. If you'd like something a little more drama-y, there's The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs. I hope you get lost in a good book again soon! If you'd like some more rec's in the fantasy genre, give me a pm!

whenever I want to get lost in a book, I just re-read Catch-22, Slaughterhouse-Five, or As I Lay Dying.. but usually just Catch-22

I've been feeling like this for a while too. On a whim I read The Time Traveller's Wife- quite a few people said it was good but I didn't expect to enjoy it, but I was pleasantly surprised and I really enjoyed it.

And to the person who can't spell, don't worry you are not alone, and a little funny story about it.  After my brain injury they did a tonne of psych testing to see how much damage there was and the first thing they told my parents was that I couldn't spell anything worried that it was a major area of damage, but nope my parents just laughed and told the kind doctors not to worry because i never could spell.  Let's just say Santa often brought me and my sister dictionaries...

lol I sympathise. I'm currently learning sign language and I'm atrocious at finger spelling, not because I'm bad at signing but because I can't for the life of me spell words out loud.
