Is "Dudley Demented" from the fifth book?  Perhaps it's a comment on that one book in the series?

I've read all the Harry Potters and have enjoyed some of them, but I think that anything that gets that many people interested in reading is okay in my book.

Yay for reading! I think it's great that it has gotten kids to read instead of sit in front of the tv all day.

no friends - That was my life up until 6th grade. Then Melinda moved out from across the country, and I basically went up to her and said, "Do you wanna be friends?" And, now she's one of my best friends. I hope you find some soon!

voice mail - I usually don't call someone back if they don't leave a voice mail. I figure if they don't leave a message, it wasn't important. What I hate is leaving messages when I'm calling people back, especially when I'm at work. Usually, they'll just leave a message saying call me back. I have no idea what they want, so I have no idea what to say on the message. Those, I usually just throw away if they don't answer. If they weren't smart enough to say what they wanted, then it's their own fault.

too much time on here - I'm guilty of that as well, and of spending too much time on the Internet in general.

"In my teens and 20's I hooked up with more dudes that i can remember. Most of them were on tour when we met. One day while watching MTV I either saw or heard bands I know.. 12 of them.. I had hooked up with someone in 10 of those bands. #11 I had dated seriously."

Ha! When I was in high school, I dated someone who was helping rehabilitate a raccoon. We got to play with him every day for three months and it was INCREDIBLE.

My mom grew up in the country, and she had a racoon "friend".  It wasn't a pet because it lived outside, but he loved her and she trained him to do tricks.  Racoons are very smart.

they are also tricksy little thieves i can't manage to scare out of the horse barn!  if they're around and i don't put a 20 lb salt block on the wheelbarrow lid, they crawl in and eat the grain.  i'm afriad to throw something at them because they're mean, too, and could try and get me!

one of my friends has a pet racoon! her name is beyonce and she's adorable. she likes to sleep in the dishwasher and eat chips. oh my gosh she's so cute, but i refuse to hold her because she's drawn blood on so many people and i'm a baby.

Man, I don't know what to say. That would be so frusterating!!

Oooh, I know what you mean! Let's both just not think about it and it'll happen!

"I am too embarrassed to dance in public. partly because i'm clumsy and partly because i'm about as white and rhythmless as you can get. BUT I REALLY WANT TO!!"
Yes. This could have been my secret. Sometimes... I just go out there and make an ass of myself... and then kind of regret it? But it's fun enough that the regret doesn't really matter  Tongue
