I'm finally posting pictures!

My partner was pinokeeo and she was AMAZING.

First:

she knew I had just purchased a sewing machine and gave me this great sewing and embellishment magazine.  I can't wait to try some of the projects in it!

Next:

a few balls of great yarn.  The orange, as you may be able to see, is already being crocheted into a hat for a custom order.  My customer wanted a vibrant bright orange, and I would say that orange is as bright and vibrant as it gets!

Next:

HOW AMAZING IS THIS?!  She made me a great leather case for my crochet hooks and scissors.  The leather is so soft, and she included two wooden hooks.  Did you carve those yourself, pinokeeo?  They're incredible and easy to use!

Finally!:

This gorgeous crocheted bag!  I can't tell exactly what it's crocheted out of, but it's some kind of fabric.  The beads in the middle as well as the colors make it feel very Southwestern to me - which is great, because my travels are taking me to Texas!  I use the bag every day to bring my crocheting to work.  It's perfect.

I hand carved the crochet hooks from dowels.  I never know exactly what size hook it is, only the size of the dowel.  The bag was crocheted from worn bedsheets, and I used the same type of hand carved crochet hook to make the bag.  Only my crochet hook is much bigger.

Glad you liked everything.

Everything is so cute! I originally made almost the same package as dreadlochness, a pillow with hidden pockets and a passport holder, but I hurt my hand and couldn't finish  Sad So I had to scrap it all and use the stuff in ways that required no sewing or right handed stuff. Bleh, that's okay, cuz everbody's gear is awesome! I love all those fabrics asocialcelebrity, beautiful!

Here's what I sent to uknowuluvit; she has been a bit busy lately and gave me permission to post the pictures.

This is a pouch for her makeup, since she said she has been carrying it around in a ziploc, hehe.

This is the whole lot, including an embroidery kit for making a bookmark, an eyemask for sleeping in the car even when it's sunny, and in the back the floral fabric is a bag for 'delicate' items of clothing as she so elegantly put it.

Deb I hope you like it and are able to use everything! Smiley

A delicates bag was a great idea!!  I never would have thought of that!  In fact, this past weekend I flew to Minnesota and actually put my delicates in a plastic bag for the return trip. *smacks forehead*

That is a good idea.

Oh well, guess we'll have to do another one hehe   Wink

Really awesome stuff everyone!  The little make-up bag is really cute.  I usually one for sewing one together but if I got better with my knitting, I'll try my hand at it.

Deb (uknowuluvit) thought of the delicates bag, and I like the idea just because my stuff ALWAYS gets rifled through by airport officials and I don't want them touching mah undies.

The makeup bag is crocheted and lined with a lightblue and white pinstripe fabric. It has a red zipper, but you can't see it in the photo. There's better pictures on my blog if you're interested.

Thanks for the compliments! Smiley
