Now that I've made my 10 post minimum, here are three of the hats I made as presents this past Christmas (unfortunately there were three others that I didn't get pics of before they went to their new homes).  I just started knitting in November and I love making hats!

1) For my boyfriend's brother, the ever popular Jayne Cobb hat, and the first hat i've ever knit:  a huge hit with the recipient, he wears it all the time!  based on this pattern: http://redshirtknitting.com/?page_id=222  (this was before I had the knack of purling, so the band isn't ribbed correctly)

I used vanna's choice in brick, rust, and mustard

2) And for his sister, a soft mohair kitty cat hat, based on this pattern:

as you can see, my own kitty, Buddha, tried to help, too
I used Patons Divine in Floral Fantasy

And an action shot:

3)A nubby earth-tone-y rainbow hat for the boyfriend's sister-in-law:

(Buddha's not as amused with this one)
I used Homespun in Quartz

And one last action shot:

Thanks so much for looking, and I appreciate the feedback!

Completely rainbow obsessed SAHM to 3 & hoping to add #4 to our family this fall!

Have old jeans, pillowcases, or t-shirts? I'll take them! I'm also always looking for the sleeves to women's long sleeved shirts!

<3 I heart Rupert Grint! <3
