Okay, my resolutions this year were
1) Be more organized,
2) Get to know my sewing machine better and increase my sewing skills,
3) Be more eco-friendly, and
4) Stop chewing on my fingers. (a strange habit, yes, but it's a nervous thing. And I'm getting tired of the raw skin, chewed-up look, and hangnails. Yeesh. Lips sealed )

When I saw this challenge, I thought for forever what I could do that would help me with almost all of my resolutions, but I couldn't think of anything. Huh Then it came to me. Last night. Hardly a day left to craft! Shocked
Luckily I had everything I needed. I started crafting right away.

I just finished! Cheesy Whew! I apologize for the bad lighting. Undecided
Here it is! The reusable To Do List organizer!

Empty.

Full!

These are the index cards that list my 'to dos'. I list the task on one end, and when I complete my task, I flip the card over so it says 'done!' Genius! Grin

Tasks in the pockets! I don't know if they're readable... they're just examples.

Here's where I keep the tasks that I'm not using. Grin

Action shot!

The organizer covers three of my resolutions! It's organized and helps me stay organized, I learned a lot from sewing it together, and it's eco-friendly! Writing a to-do list on a piece of paper then throwing it out at the end of the day meant eventually going through a lot of paper. I'm saving that paper by using my re-usable to do list.
(I realize of course that dry-erase boards work the same way.... but that's not helping my sewing skills Wink )

The organizer measures about 12" by 39.5", including the dowel. It has 21 pockets for the tasks, and one storage pocket. It took me about 3 (frustrating) hours to make! Grin But it gave my hands something to do.... so I guess it helped with my fourth resolution too Wink

P.S- these pictures don't do the organizer justice. It's really much brighter in person. Cool I didn't finish until it was dark out though, so I had to use artificial lighting. The pictures also look a little cramped, so I'll provide links (in order) so you can view the pictures closer to their original size. Grin

Buy more index cards....Done!
LOL, how cool.

A fabulous way to keep things organised, you should collage them all together at the end of the year with pictures of each goal you have achieved, that would get you ready for next year.

Totally brilliant! Make being organized fun... what a good idea! I can totally see myself actually getting things done, just so I can flip over the card.

That's such a great idea! It's good to have everything like that in one place so you can center in & get it done! Love your idea, I would do the cards in a bright color so they would pop out a little more.

Sure! I can try posting a tute if anyone's interested. I've never posted a tutorial before though, but I've seen several and used several and I'm sure I can manage. Grin

This is a really great idea!

I want to make one too, and use it for my kids' chores.  That way when they've finished their daily chore, they can turn over the card and see at a glance what they still need to do.  Then before bed they can turn their cards over again.  Maybe if I laminate the index cards they'll last longer since they'll be reusing them daily.  Ooooh I'm loving this idea - thank you, thank you!!!

Thanks for the offer for the tutorial - I know I'd use it!!
