Grin Cheesy  I knew you guys would just be waiting to bust me! Cool

I'm really glad you like it, Racky!  Yay!

I got the idea from Carol Duvall. Cheesy  http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/cr_paper_crafts_boxes/article/0,,HGTV_3289_1399648,00.html  I dyed invitation envelopes (the small ones, Homer! Cheesy) with caramel tea and aged them with ink, stamps and fun stuff.  I'll post that part as a tutorial somewhere...paper crafts or misc.?

EDIT:  I posted it on Paper Crafts Smiley  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=229885.0

Okay, my partner said she received and would post pictures, but she hasn't yet...so I thought I would post the one that I took.

She said that she liked steampunk but also had a bohemian air about her, so I made her this necklace:

My thought was that the yarn made it look like it was made out of hemp (for the bohemian part) but also that working in circles like that reminded me of gears (for the steampunk part).

And yeah, I realize that it's not exactly 4" x 4", but the actual necklace part is; the chain isn't, but that's because I needed it to actually fit around her neck. Don't worry, I cleared it all with our lovely organizer before I sent it.

Yikes, that's not what I had in mind when you asked about going over size.  It's nice but much larger than I thought it was going to be  Smiley  Guess I better ask more questions next time.

Aw, I'm sorry!  Embarrassed I thought it was going to end up much, much smaller too (the pattern said so), but I guess my crochet skills aren't good enough to make things...the...righ t...size. You may forever throw me into the land of "people who made medium-sized items for a One TINY Thing swap". I think that's the...seventh circle of hell? Eighth? Hmmm.
