Thanks so much, MonkeyThumb! I love it Kiss

It's so teeny in person, only about 2.75" tall Grin And thanks for posting your photo, I don't think I could get the lighting right to save my life Smiley

i am SO glad that you like it! now i have to make one for my little boy, he watched it come to life and he loves it too. hee hee.
the bird has all the colours of the rainbow on him, red tail, orange feet, yellow beak, green belly, blue body and head, and purple tail. that was my son's contribution (colour freak!).

i had a hard time getting the photograph to come out right and even though that one is clear i couldn't get the colour to show up very bright, i didn't have a bright enough light. i wanted to let you all about the amazing photobox i found a tutorial for. it's a terrific way to take high quality pics especially of small items and it cost next to nothing to build it.

it's here on strobist

I used the same tutorial to build my lightbox - what a blessing that was!!

Instead of using tissue paper I used velum.  For some reason the tissue paper wasn't letting enough light in, but the velum worked really well.

I got fun mail from sweets4ever today! It's this lovely pack of letters, tied so sweetly with a ribbon:

At first I thought she had made me a set of stationary, and I was wondering if I should rat her out to Homerof2 for making more than one tiny item  Roll Eyes, but look closely: it's a little secret box, lined with some great fabric!

How cute is that?

Thanks so, so much, sweets! What a great tiny item!  Kiss
