Hello all:

here is another design of mine which I just made this past weekend:

It is a top with a Moebius band for a bosom.  I called it Valley of the Beads because the "crevice" in the front of the bust piece reminds me of a rolling valley for some reason (albeit an odd red one!)

I had much fun knitting this.  It is made with Svale of Danegard yarn (cotton/silk/viscose blend).  I used 4mm needles. The beads are by Earthfaire (http://www.earthfaire.com)

The bust piece was made using Cat Bordhi's technique for moebius kntting.  The bottom is inspired by Sivia Harding's River Rock scarf - my version of that is linked here:  http://brouhahaknits.blogspot.com/2007/09/river-rock-scarf-done.html

I've put more pics and info on my blog:

Also, there is a tutorial of sorts here: http://brouhahaknits.blogspot.com/2008/02/how-to-make-your-very-own-fabulous.html.

Cheers!

Kristina

To be is to do.  To do is to be. Do be do be do.

(Please note that my site name might be a bit misleading.  At present I'm not in business and not selling pieces.  I just liked the pun aspect of "bespoke" given that I talk a lot!)

Wow, this is so cool!  Someday I will move beyond scarves and into the world of knit tops.  Beautiful job!  And it looks great on you.  Smiley
