Ahh thank you for the image. I legit thought that you had some weird sort of gridded plastic in your skirt. I feel kind of silly that it was fabric. I'm thinking of now attempting something similar to this but shorter and shaped differently. It sounds like a fun project colorwise!
Cheesy I can see how you got that.
I'd love to see what you make!

OH man... That dress is SO AMAZING BEYOND WORDS!  You really must have a) a very nice sewing machine that never does anything wrong and b) incredible and admirable patience.  Definitely the petience.  I know I start cursing at my machine when it messes something up (though it's probably me) and I lose patience with it and my project after a while.

Anyway, I digress.  Fantastic job, this rocks, and any other good things I can say about this dress!  Shocked

Now the question of the day: where in the world will you wear it?  Wink

Next year I'll have room for a sewing machine in my SINGLE ROOM, but this year I share, so I don't.  So all I can do now is wish and plan.  And maybe use my connections to the theatre costume workshop... Cheesy

I think I'll wear it once I've finally gone loopy. Or when I'm bored. But it's way too heavy and awkward to wear out!
Haha othersideofthecrash, I almost broke my overlocker.

Oooooo, I love love LOVE this ... I save all my scraps from my quilts for scrap quilts. And lately I've been buying and dismantling kimonos, obis and haoris for the fabric. This would be soooooo fantastic in my kimono silks and my batik scraps! And I would DEFINITELY wear it to work!

Fabumundo!   Cheesy

You can wear it the next time you get invited to one of those charity balls that's covered by the society section in the newspaper!   Wink

That's so cool...it's a shame you don't have any way to display it at the moment.  It would make such a cool costume/prop for dance!

This is amazing, and so beautiful. I particularly like the rainbow effect, and the petal shape. Great job!!!  Cheesy
