I've had my sewing machine for exactly a week now, and here's my first real project!

Thanks Jordy!

That is SOOO flippin' cute! I LOVE the turtle..ahh. I've never been brave enough to try and sew vinyl? was it really slippery, did you use a special foot?

I used a walking foot, which I splurged on -- man those things are expensive!

Overall vinyl seems pretty easy to work with.  The straps gave me some trouble, I ended up having to iron them (read: melt... heh) a little to make them easier to sew.  You have to baby it a little over the thicker parts, but it wasn't bad.

If I can do it, anyone can.  Believe me.  Smiley

yeah, I bet that foot will end up saving you a lot of money though, if you plan to make other things with vinyl and what not. Without it, you would probably just waste so much money from throwing away the fabric because your regular foot wouldn't work with you...sooo good investment, i'd say. Just to reiterate what i said earlier....i love it..teeheehee

How cute!! I love the turtle, and I've been wondering how the Jordy bag would look in vinyl. Great color scheme too!
