Just finished this tam for my sister's birthday. I joined the yaer long gift-a-long at http://knitallyear.blogspot.com/ with the intention of knitting presents now, for holidays later on.

So one hat done. For October 8th! I am way ahead of schedule. I started it about the 30th of January, and finished February 1st. Here it is wandering around Holland Park

Some stats:
-I knit the hat out of about half a ball of an acrylic/wool blend I'd gotten (took about 75 grams)
-the gauge was 5 stitches/inch, and I knit it on size 5 needles
-the pattern is my own design. I made it up as I went along, and am quite pleased with it! It was a lot of fun to make. I hope my sister likes it!

Congrats on finishing a project so early!  I really like both the design and the color of the yarn.
