Yeah so I love the look of a scarf all wrapped cozy round the neck but not so much the bulkiness and dangly bits.  And my hands are alwys cold at school. So with some uber soft Christmas mystery yarn I whipped up this cowl scarf and fingerless mitts set. My lovely friend Danielle is modeling!!

In progress.

I've since woven in all the ends and I lvoe it! So nice and warm but light at the same time. Let me know what ou think!!

I love the cowl!!! Very Cute! How many inches or centimeters is the cowl around (if you don't mind me asking)?

you know, to be perfectly honest, I always thought cowls looked kind of goofy. But the color and yarn that you used makes it look very cute and "hip" lol actually makes me want to make one for myself. and the gloves are fabulous, gotta love fingerless gloves. Great job! btw- how did you make the finger holes on the gloves?

Did you do just double crochet on the cowl?

Thanks so much for the nice comments guys!

The cowl and mitts were both done in double crochet, basically I chained 30 for the cowl and did rows of double crochet until it was about 22 inches long. Then I just joined with slip stitches. It does leave a seam but you can just hide it in the back.

For the mitts I chained 20 and did 11 rows of double crochet, then slip stitched
to join and did slip stitches at intervals on the top to make finger holes.

If anyone wants a honest-to-god pattern i could write one up, just let me finish studying for my Art History test first! Tongue

Thanks for all the nice comments, I love it and I've gotten many nice comments on the set. Smiley
