what do you think?  it may be finished...but i feel like it needs more.  this is to be worn to a "heartbreak"/valentine's themed goth/industrial event, i might make a mask too but i haven't decided (masquerade contest).  i have available to me, in addition to the basics, for more finishing touches:  pinking shears, more of the nylon cording, the ribbon pictured below, six d-rings, and a bleach pen.  aaaaand a persnickety sewing machine that is totally not digging knits lately...so that one's a maybe.  *note...comfy as they all are, i do not plan to wear my teapot pajama pants, blue bra, or fuzzy slippers.  just sayin'.  i may also wear a black&white striped long sleeve shirt underneath instead.*  opinions?

***i tried and tried, it is about impossible to get a shot where you can see all of the details at once, but here is a closeup of the sleeve detail and also a front shot with the striped shirt for comparison.  i made those runs here and there all over the shirt.  still feel it needs something!***

...To answer at least one of your questions, I actually like the polka-dot hoodie underneath.  And, if you choose to use the ribbons, it matches!

I like the cut-up heart shape. I also kinda like this as-is... a full-view shot of the whole thing, sleeves and all, would help to visualize better... but what I see, I like.

i feel like i'm trying to look like the overrated overdone pirate with the stripes.  so i've decided on the dots.  i think.

ohohooh cool I like the dots as well.
Sleeves look cool. If you wanted you could add a binding around the collar (or maybe a hood??) And i"m sure tha'd completely finish off the look

the polka dots look a lot better than the stripes.. and perhaps a flower or pin made out of the matching ribbon would add what you are looking for?
