Yay, I successfully made my first reconstruction  Cheesy  I turned an oversized orange golf shirt (very comfy) into a hoodie, with the assistance of an old pair of black pants for the arms and a nike shirt for the hood.  Thanks to Mezzi and her ridiculously easy to follow tutey.

Okay so here's the before, don't pay any attention the woman behind the orange shirt:


I wish I'd taken a piccy of the pants I used but I didn't.  They were wide-legged and stretchy and thick, I cut the legs off and then each in half to make a nice big work area and made my arms from that.  Instead of making a cuff from the original orange shirt pieces I just ended them at the hem of the pants, which worked out well.  Without further adeu I present to you, my hoody!

I still may add pockets, and I'm thinking about getting an iron-on decal to put on one boob, or on the back since it's plain.  But I may not, because I like the simplicity too.  Oh!  And one major problem was that I didn't even think to check the zipper, and didn't notice until after I was done sewing it on that it doesn't detach at the bottom  Shocked  It does suck because I can't wear it now with out having it zipped at least slightly.  Does anyone know a way to alter it where the zipper is still usable too?  I don't think there's a way, but thought I'd ask just the same

Hope you like, constructive critisicm always appreciated, I know I have to work on things, but I'm quite happy with my first attempt.
