I'm so excited about this project I just finished recently.  I modified a pattern I found online to create these bright orange mittens that convert into fingerless gloves.  I find in the winter, it's always annoying to wear full gloves or mittens, because you can't use your hands.  But fingerless gloves give almost no protection from the cold.  So, voila!  These babies are born!

Hi! Those are great! I always see knitting ones and you have found a pattern in crochet! Could you make a link to the pattern you modified?
Thank you!

I like them!
I'm going to finish a pair of this gloves too, but I didn't use a pattern(I had to remake the fingers and thumb part like dozens of times)

Great job! I finished 1 glove for my granddaughter (too large)which was similar to this, except thumb was exposed. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/461189/irish_rose_convertible_mittens_crochet.html
A good tip which was on the pattern I used...put a button at wrist and a loop on mitten part, to hold mitten up when wearing as fingerless.

Thank you for the links. I will try some of them as soon as I can. The bad notice is this year is being too hot here in Spain for wearing gloves, but I have to do them anyway, because they are great. It will get cold someday Cheesy.
