You have the World's Largest Vase, too! Cheesy

My home town has kooky, kooky stuff like a HUGE wooden rocking chair.

My current town is "Home of the Tomato" (wow) and stuff like a Pencil Sharpener Museum, first Wendy's, Field of Concrete Corn and near to the World's Largest Basket (Longaberger Basket Co.).  Ohh... Ohio.
Don't forget the Seurat painting rendered entirely in shrubbery!

Hee. I have had the best idea, thinking on this all day.  Hopefully I can get this knitting done first (birthdays!) so I can get the work done on this as well.  Tongue

Marvellous! I had an idea for this one immediately.

Representing the Steel City (or one of them, a bunch of cities seem to share this alias) - Hamilton, Ontario. And yes, I plan to make something that relates to steel Wink

Oh this is a good one. I live in Red Bank, NJ... It's a cute little old town with a booming future, we just got a tiffany's (puke!!!) and a von dutch (double puke!!).

We have something like 31 salons in a  our one square mile of down town...and a bunch of bars.

This will be a challenge.

I just wikipedia-ed my town and Debbie Harry lived here...oh man now  I have ideas

i love all the people in and around the GTA! it'll be really cool to see a lot of entries about the same cities, regions, etc.

i have a question. does the entry have to be something your town is specifically known for? like the cn tower? or can it just be something you like about your city? for example, say i like the fact that toronto has a lot of parks. that's not something that puts toronto on the map, per se, it's not really tourist attraction or something that it represents, it's just something i like. so would i be able to use 'toronto parks' as a theme in that way?

(i'm not using parks, though. that's just an example Wink )

we'll leave our tracks untraceable now

Yep!

From the first post...
Quote
Here's your chance to pay homage to where you currently live or where you hail from. What special characteristics is your town known for? Are you lucky enough to claim fame to the world's largest ball of twine? What do you think of when you consider what your town represents, what you're most proud of, what you think is unique about your town? You can interpret this challenge in any way you see fit using any crafting techniques you choose!

Have fun!
