Ooooh those doggies are beyond cute - I love 'em!!  Thanks for the link - I'm going to make some too.  I really like the idea you have of not buying anything new and I am going to try to do the same thing.  Like you said there are groceries and emergency items, but using up what is already here is a great idea.

Thanks! The longer I go not shopping, the easier it gets. My friends are even starting to see that it's a good idea, especially when the cheap Made-in-China stuff they have been buying falls apart a few weeks after they buy it. Fortunately, my 7 year old daughter loves to thrift shop. 

If you make a list and think ahead, you can find the things you really need at local thrift and tag sales. It forces you to see the difference between what you want right now and what you actually need.
