I received the book - 'Sock and Glove' (by Miyako Kanamori) for my birthday, and this is my first attempt at a toy. It's a little rough, and the limbs turned out a bit long for the body, but my son thinks it's great. He has called her 'Elsie'...aaawwwww....

awww!  He is way cute.  I made a sock elephant from a different pattern and he didn 't turn out even 1/2 as cute as yours.  great job!
