Oh I want to do something just like that, only there are no 10 pin lanes for 100 miles so no one ever seems to have old bowling balls just kicking around.  Someday....

It's so easy to do, and Michael's has the gems on sale quite often.
- You could try Craigslist or Freecycle for bowling balls, my aunt in law did this for me, and I ended up with over 20!

this is really awesome! And i just got a free bowling ball from the bowling alley close to my house. I explained what I wanted to do and  asked them if they had any bowling balls that they couldn't use because they were too beat up or whatever and the lady behind the counter just gave me one! i figured she would want me to pay for it, but I guess it never hurts just to ask.
